Weezy Alcott

I was an Art Therapy student at NYU and worked at AD-HOC Software on corner of Spring .
I was mostly studying art therapy and finding random street artist to do art work with me. Graffiti and anything they’d do . I was salesperson but loved how the owners would give designers a chance to sell among their high end merchandise!
It was a great people watching there. Isabella Rossellini and a variety of people would be out and about . Louise Nevelson and other artist shopped around and have drinks in bars without being bothered . The creative energy and mix of people was contagious.
Nothing except for the drug use was escalating during that time and it was sad to see someone suffering.
Moved south to start Art Therapy practice in South Carolina .
Seeing Basquait spray painting on a door.
It’s feels super touristy when I go back and the atmosphere is less laid back and more pretentious than old days.
