n/a I lived there in the 80’s and miss the dog "mothers" and the dog friends all gathering after work at that little park at the corner of Prince and Sixth Ave. Terry O’Connor and her dogs Daisy and Woody were good friends. We had a nice groomer, Nona, at 10 Downing.

There are so many. Walking along Prince Street on a Saturday afternoon and listening to Frank Sinatra songs wafting from upstairs window; trying to get through a crowd that formed to see my dog Lucky, a terrier mix, out in his sweater and winter boots. (He used to stop traffic on Sixth Ave.) Going to the art gallery openings. (Taking Lucky into Naif and Primitive where the owner liked the dogs to "react" to the sculpture); smell of wonderful cooking at the restaurants; the Mercer-Houston Dog Run.
I had a sublet apartment, and the owner decided to sell.
