Almost small town feel, and the open loft parties. Local bars with mostly locals.

Rats and landlords. The people who moved in who were not even creative, much less artists.
Spectacular parties. Being mistaken for an art piece when I walked down West Broadway in my overalls with my cart going to do laundry.
Getting crowded and developed. Too many people who could afford to live there but didn't need the space.
I designed and painted the original Whole Foods window sign on Prince Street, and various other signs in the neighborhood. Was involved with the second generation of FOOD Restaurant.
