Almost small town feel, and the open loft parties. Local bars with mostly locals.
Musart Spiral Foods!

What do you miss least about SoHo in the 1970s?

Rats and landlords. The people who moved in who were not even creative, much less artists.

If you no longer live in SoHo, why did you leave?

Spectacular parties. Being mistaken for an art piece when I walked down West Broadway in my overalls with my cart going to do laundry.

What is your most vivid SoHo memory?

Getting crowded and developed. Too many people who could afford to live there but didn't need the space.

Is there anything else you would like to add to your profile?

I designed and painted the original Whole Foods window sign on Prince Street, and various other signs in the neighborhood. Was involved with the second generation of FOOD Restaurant.
