Radiation therapy technician, secretary to Lex Hixon, In the Spkrit WBAI radio program mother, & school aide, now retired.

What do you miss most about SoHo in the 1970s?

The art galleries, the antique stores, a health food store! The Hasidic men from the clothing factory across the street burning chametz on the morning of the first Seder of Passover!

What do you miss least about SoHo in the 1970s?

Stupid men pissing on the corner during San Gennaro feasts!

If you no longer live in SoHo, why did you leave?

What is your most vivid SoHo memory?

Collecting fabric scraps from the factory across the street! The Tibetan Monastery in Woodstock, KTD, made the first zafus from scraps found on Crosby St!That was 1978 !

Is there anything else you would like to add to your profile?

I miss the quiet! Now our Friday evenings are destroyed by the incessant car honking as cars try to get to the Holland Tunnel! I miss the open streets, now overpopulated with tourists/shoppers!
