John David Murray

Kenn and John’s Broome Street Bar;My first job in New York was working as the first cook at “Kenn and John’s Broome Street Bar” when they opened their business in 1972. I was hired by John Freeman who I had met at The Yale Norfolk Art Program in the summer of 1967.;Kenn and John were great people to work for. They both were very creative and shared a vision to open a bar and restaurant that would bring in local artists, celebrities and people from uptown while remaining a favorite neighborhood place to go.
