Kenn and John's Broome Street Bar
My first job in New York was working as the first cook at “Kenn and John's Broome Street Bar” when they opened their business in 1972. I was hired by John Freeman who I had met at The Yale Norfolk Art Program in the summer of 1967.
Kenn and John were great people to work for. They both were very creative and shared a vision to open a bar and restaurant that would bring in local artists, celebrities and people from uptown while remaining a favorite neighborhood place to go.
