As many of you have probably already heard, Kenneth Reisdorff, known locally as Kenn from Bob and Kenn’s Broome Street Bar, passed away on February 26 at the age of 92. The Broome Street Bar is a SoHo institution, and Reisdorff was its fearless leader for 42 years.

Dorothy Koppelman

The artist Dorothy Koppelman, now 92 years old, has lived in SoHo since 1963. Her "Broome Street Story," is an essay about how she came to SoHo and what she has been doing here over the past (gulp!) almost 50 years. There are very few people in SoHo today who can say they were here in the early-60's. Dorothy is one of them, and here is her story.
